Let’s help you opt out of renewal

We’re sorry to hear that you are thinking of not renewing your Nova Direct insurance policy and the information on this page is aimed to make the process, and your request, as simple as possible.

Does this apply to me?

This process and guidance applies to home insurance policies.  It applies to policies that have not yet been renewed

What happens and when?

There is no charge for opting out of your auto-renewing policy. Upon submitting your request you will receive an automated response to confirm receipt. Your request will be actioned within 48 working hours and you will receive confirmation by email.

Has your policy already renewed?

To ensure continuation of cover we do renew your policy, and charge for the renewal, up to 7 days prior to your current policy expiring. If your policy has already renewed you will need to complete our Cancellations process process in order to gain a refund.  Please note that a refund will only be granted if this process is completed within 14 days of your card being charged. After this 14 day period a refund will no longer be available.  If you submit a renewal opt out request on a policy that has already been renewed then no action will be taken.
